Site Foreman / Junior Project Manager
Blade Pile is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Site Foreman / Junior Project Manager to help deliver specialist piling projects across New Zealand.
This is a hands-on hybrid position combining on-site leadership, office coordination, and support with securing and delivering new work. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification — while also contributing to future growth.
If you have relevant experience, are confident using technology on site, and can operate comfortably in both the field and the office, we want to hear from you.
This role requires regular nationwide travel, with periods of working away from home that may include a few nights per week depending on project schedules. Generous allowances are paid.
Duties- Leading and working on piling installations
- Managing day-to-day site operations (labour, plant, materials, subcontractors)
- Operating excavators and piling equipment
- Coordinating jobs from the Mount office (scheduling, tracking, documentation)
- Liaising with clients, engineers, and suppliers
- Supporting pricing, scope clarification, and upcoming projects
- Running toolbox talks and maintaining strong H&S standards
- Quality Assurance
- 3–5+ years’ experience in piling, foundations, or civil construction
- Competent excavator operator
- Class 2 and Class 4 (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Licensed Building Practitioner – Foundations (advantageous)
- Strong digital literacy and willingness to adopt new systems
- Organised, proactive, and commercially aware
- Confident communicator able to engage with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and crews
- Flexible and adaptable across site and office environments
- Salary of up to $110k per annum dependent upon experience
