Forklift Driver (Night)

The offer:
- Full-time permanent role (40 hours a week)
- Sunday to Friday, 6pm to 2:30 am
- Based at Mangere (near Auckland Airport)
- $28 - 32.00 hourly rate
- Discounted staff orders etc.

The role:
- Operating, monitoring, inspecting and servicing forklift.
- Picking, replenishing and dispatching orders.
- Champion health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Ensure order deadlines are met.
- Monitor to minimise picking errors.
- Train and induct new staff; ensure SOPs and house rules are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Assist with other general warehouse functions.
- Assist the Operations Manager with rostering and organising staffing levels.
- Assist the Operations Manager in ensuring SOPs and house rules are followed.
- Assist the Operations Manager in achieving the team's productivity and the targets set by Management.
The person:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Must have at least two years of experience operating an aislemaster/bendi and a valid license.
- Must be able to work in varied temperatures (dry, chilled and frozen where temperature can be as low as -24 degrees)
- Some leadership experience in a Warehouse capacity will be an added advantage.
- No criminal convictions related to harm, theft or drugs
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Basic English and numerical literacy
- Scanning and Computer skills are advantageous
- A self- starter who doesn't need constant supervision- you will own this role.
- Have reasonably good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- You will be physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg.
- Be extremely reliable, a proven record of exceptional attendance in all previous work.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Be physically strong and fit, as the job involves hand-loading and hoist work.
- Must have their own transport.
