Irrigation Service Technician – Center Pivot Irrigation & Pumps
Location: South Canterbury – North Otago, working throughout the South Island
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of center pivot irrigation systems and pumps. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our clients.
You will be working outdoors in all weather conditions, so adaptability and a positive attitude toward varying environments are essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair center pivot irrigation systems and pumps.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Replace faulty components such as motors, gearboxes, and electrical components.
- Work with farmers and landowners to optimize irrigation performance.
- Experience with center pivot irrigation systems and pumps (not essential - training provided for the right candidate)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills - current EST ticket would be helpful
- Welding and fabrication skills (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- NZ Residency or valid Work Visa
- Be willing and able to travel and stay away when necessary
