Pae Tukutuku Purapura Whetu (Team member) Māori Land Court, Ministry of Justice - Whanganui There is a permanent full-time position available at the Aotea Māori Land Court and is based in Whanganui.Te Haeata/The OpportunityPae Tukutuku Purapura Whetu mahi will work closely with the Information Records Analyst, National Office, Pae Tukutuku Purapura Whetu in other District offices and staff to identify and analyse business requirements and provide support for implementing new and/or revised processes, procedures and systemsThe mahi will primarily focus on ensuring all Māori Land Court physical records are managed, stored and accessed with integrity and meets its obligations under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, the Public Records Act 2005, Official Information Act 1982, Privacy Act 1993, Adoptions Act 1955 and Archives New Zealand Ō pūkenga/Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in the role you will have:A good general knowledge of, and respect for, Māori cultural values and customs (tikanga) and respect for Māori society and issuesCompetence in Te Reo Māori and understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.Has a commitment to quality and accuracy of the Māori Land Court recordAbility to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracyComfortable working independently with minimal supervision.Understanding of Public Records Act 2005 and its requirementsProject management skillsMicrosoft Office suite and a range of other database search softwareYou will work within a well-established and vibrant team and you'll be flexible, calm, and resilient.
