THE OPPORTUNITY

THE ROLE

Based in the workshop, you will be confident working autonomously and as part of a team. You will use machine and hand tools to carry out metal, plastic and possibly fibreglass body work on heavy road vehicles. Our client's customers have an exciting and wide range of customers with some impressive trucks to work on. Your duties will include:

• Panel beating, split repairs, heat shrinking, metal finishing and body filler repair procedures.
• Use and maintain workplace tools and equipment, routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools.
• Welding, thermal cutting and heating procedures.
• Minor structural repairs using reforming, welding panel replacements and body panel manual measuring procedures.
• Major welding panel replacement, misalignment repair operations.
• Other relevant repair procedures using specialised equipment.
• Cleaning and performing final inspection of repaired vehicles prior to delivery.

• Highly motivated to move to Australia (Working In will support your immigration process if required).
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as an auto panel beater, ideally heavy road truck experience.
• Possess a relevant trade qualification.
• Experienced in structural and misalignment repairs.
• Have welding knowledge.
• Be able to provide all documents required for immigration (if required) including police clearances and passing an Immigration Medical.
• Positive, detail oriented, honest team player, great communicator including excellent English fluency.
• High attention to Health and Safety and confident with IT systems.

• The role offers time and a half (for the 2 hours over 38 hours per week) and double time for hours over 40 hours per week.
