Mechanical Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in the mechanical field.

• To carry out all safety checks as per the company’s check lists before each vehicle embarks on its next trip.
• Communicate well with fellow team mates and the operations manager / mechanic
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing basic repairs on vehicles and equipment
• Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and parts for repair jobs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the garage or workshop
• Document work performed and update service records as needed
• Monitor and report inventory levels of tools and spare parts
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies during repairs
• On-the-job training and opportunities for advancement
• Vehicle detailing in busy seasons will be required
• Assisting with building repairs on new campervan builds

• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license

Work will be required on Weekends and all through Summer. As we only close Christmas Day and New Years Day holidays will be in Winter months. Days off will more likely be two weekday days. Hours of work will be 42.5 hours a week.

Pay rate $25-$30 depending on experience
