- About the roleTe Kura Toi School of Arts is seeking a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Media and Creative Technologies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach theory and film/media production in a hands-on workshop environment (including camera, editing and Adobe suite skills), with a preference for someone with experience in relevant creative industries.
A history of academic research and publication will be essential.Applicants with knowledge of Māori and Indigenous media cultures are encouraged to apply.This role will involve teaching relevant undergraduate courses in majors that contribute to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Communication and Bachelor of Design, and postgraduate courses in the Master of Arts and Master of Media and Creative Technologies.
Contributing actively to the School's research culture and supervising research students is also part of this role.The salary for the Lecturer position ranges from $90,125 to $107,452 per year, and for the Senior Lecturer position from $110,392 to $128,508 per year, depending on the skills, knowledge, and experience the successful candidate brings to the role.

You will bring a passion for, and expertise in Media and Creative Technologies, actively demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understand how your research could enhance professional practice and community.You will have experience teaching undergraduate papers, including the ability to lecture to large numbers and conduct small-group seminars, tutorials and workshops effectively.
