- Taranaki, you will provide leadership, expertise, and operational management across local payroll activities.
You will oversee the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services, champion continuous improvement, and ensure legislative and contractual compliance.You will work collaboratively with district and national payroll leaders, HR, finance, and operational teams to support organisational goals.
This role also carries responsibility for team capability, system accuracy, risk management, audit oversight, and strategic planning.About YouYou will bring strong people leadership and deep payroll expertise, ideally gained in large and complex environments.You will have:10+ years' payroll experience, including 5+ years in leadership rolesStrong understanding of the Holidays Act 2003 and related employment legislationExperience working with multiple CEAs/IEAs and complex payroll environmentsProficiency with data analysis, reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Visio), and payroll/rostering systemsDemonstrated commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Pae Ora valuesStrong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skillsDesired:Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practiceKnowledge of StarGarden systemAdvanced understanding of relevant employment legislationWorking at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu OraWe are committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
