About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and capable Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our bar and restaurant.Reporting to the General Manager and Company Director, this role plays a key part in ensuring smooth service delivery across both floor and bar operations, supporting staff development, and maintaining venue standards.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Supporting daily bar and restaurant operations during serviceLeading shifts and supervising floor and bar teams
Supporting bar operations, including cocktail service and beer operations
Assisting with staff training, onboarding, and service standards
Supporting roster preparation and labour management
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Ensuring compliance with health and safety, licensing, and venue standards
Contributing to service flow, guest experience, and operational efficiency
Working collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a busy, high-energy hospitality environment and leads by example on the floor and behind the bar.
About You
You will be a positive, reliable, and people-focused hospitality professional with a strong understanding of bar and restaurant operations.
You will:
Have proven experience working behind the bar in busy hospitality venuesBe confident supporting cocktail preparation and draught beer service
Understand the importance of consistency, speed, and presentation in beverage service
Be comfortable leading teams during high-volume service periods
Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
Take initiative and contribute proactively to smooth daily operations
Be motivated to grow within hospitality management
Skills And Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory, duty manager, or assistant manager role within hospitalityProven bar experience, including cocktails and beer service, in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with a wide and varied cocktail menu, maintaining quality and consistency
Knowledge of bar operations, floor service, and stock control
Strong teamwork and leadership skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Good verbal and written communication skills (additional languages advantageous)
