Skilled Formwork Labourers – Porirua
Start Date: 12th January 2026Location: Porirua
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with the possibility of weekend work
We are seeking skilled and motivated formwork labourers for a major construction project in Porirua, starting 12 January 2026. This is a hands-on role with consistent hours and the opportunity to work additional time when required to complete tasks.Hours
- 7:00am starts, finishing at 4:30pm each day
- Flexibility to work longer hours when required
What the Work Involves (Formwork Explained)
Formwork is the temporary structure used to shape and support concrete while it sets. As a formwork labourer or general labourer, your duties may include:
- Assisting with the setup and removal of formwork panels and frames
- Handling timber, plywood, and formwork systems
- Supporting carpenters and formworkers on site
- Pour preparation, stripping formwork, and site clean-up
- General labouring tasks around concrete and structural works
- Following instructions and working safely on an active construction site
- Full driver’s licence and own vehicle to get to site daily
- Previous construction or formwork experience preferred
- Motivated, reliable, and physically fit
- Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Strong focus on health and safety
- Ongoing work on a major project
- Monday–Friday work with potential weekend hours
- Consistent start and finish times
- Free parking on site
