About the role
Provide high-quality over day and night care that supports residents' safety, comfort, and dignity. You'll work closely with the Registered Nurse and day/night team to ensure smooth, consistent care across your shift.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide personal care with respect and compassion
- Administer medications in line with your Medication Competency and Alden policies
- Support residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
- Observe and report changes in resident health and behaviour
- Maintain a safe, clean, and culturally responsive environment, upholding Tikanga Maori practices
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Make a visible difference in residents' daily lives
- Work in a values-driven, resident-focused aged care provider
- Be part of a supportive, respectful, and professional team
- NZQA Level 4 Health & Wellbeing qualification (essential)
- Dementia care qualification or experience (highly desirable)
- Current Medication Competency (essential)
- Experience in aged care, preferably as a senior or shift lead caregiver
- Strong understanding of Health & Disability Sector Standards
- Calm, professional, and reliable approach
- NZ residency or valid NZ work visa essential
