The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand is expanding its education capacity due to growing national demand. We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to deliver our impactful Holocaust education programmes to school-aged students across the Auckland region.

This part-time, flexible role (approximately 20 hours per week) is an exciting opportunity to join a committed national team. You will be instrumental in educating and inspiring young people about the Holocaust and contribute directly to our mission of combating antisemitism in Aotearoa.

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified teacher who holds a New Zealand practising teaching certificate is preferred.
• Strong, nuanced understanding of the Holocaust and its contemporary relevance.
• Confidence and proven ability in working in school classrooms and effectively engaging diverse student groups.
• Demonstrated experience in lesson planning, curriculum design, and educational resource development.
• Availability during standard school hours and access to your own reliable transport for travel across Auckland.
• Auckland-based, with existing strong connections within the local education sector, is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and contribute to social media, online content development, and educator professional development.

Advantageous Skills and Experience:

• Experience in professional development (PD) delivery for other educators.
• Confidence contributing to wider national projects in education, community outreach, and advocacy.
• Three to five years of experience in the classroom
