About the Role:This is a hands-on position working across both workshop and site environments. You'll be involved in a variety of mechanical engineering, fabrication, and maintenance tasks, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys diverse and practical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- General fabrication and mechanical engineering duties
- Maintenance, repair, and fault-finding on machinery
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering / fitter welding
- Must be confident welding carbon steel
- Strong finishing and fabrication skills
- Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, or a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematic drawings (advantageous)
- Low-voltage wiring experience (advantageous)
- High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
