ABOUT THE ROLE
Although we already have a great team, we’re looking to grow. This calls for the need of a skilled Project Manager to help take the company to the next level. Your primary role will be Account Manager for the many schools we provide Design and Project Management Services for across Northland.This role is to be in either Kaitaia or Whangarei offices.
We offer an excellent remuneration package based on experience, working within a supportive solutions-driven team environment with flexible work hours. Salary may be negotiable based on experience of candidate.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – may include but not limited to:
- Preparation of 5YA / 10 Year Property Plans and Condition Assessments
- Project budgeting and scoping
- School, Board of Trustees and Ministry of Education liaison
- Managing project design process (skill set dependent)
- Running project procurement – GETS ROI, RFT processes.
- Preparing MOE funding forms
- Contract preparation
- Contract Administration – site meetings, preparing minutes, managing variations, financial control, Health & Safety
- Other duties where required to assist with other aspects of the business i.e. preparing specifications, Building Consents etc
- Experience in the NZ Design / Construction Industry
- Past experience with NZ Ministry of Education property policies, funding and 5YA / 10YPP process is preferred but not essential
- Experience with using Microsoft software - Outlook/Word/Excel
- Confident on the phone & speaking with clients & contractors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
