Motorcycle Mechanic / Fleet Technician

Ultimate Adventure Moto NZ and Kiwi Motorcycle Rentals operate premium guided motorcycle tours and motorcycle rentals across New Zealand. We run a modern fleet of adventure and touring motorcycles, with our own in-house workshop, rental operation, and guided tour programme.
We are looking for a Motorcycle Mechanic / Fleet Technician to join our Christchurch-based team. This is a hands-on role focused on servicing, repairing, maintaining, and preparing our motorcycles for rentals and tours. If you can juggle tasks, think on your feet, and don’t mind digging in and getting your hands dirty – we want to hear from you.
What you will be doing- Servicing, repairing, inspecting, and preparing motorcycles.
- Carrying out pre-hire and post-hire checks.
- Preparing bikes for guided tours and rental customers.
- Fitting accessories, tyres, luggage systems, GPS units, and related equipment.
- Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Helping keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe.
- Assisting with handovers, returns, logistics, and bike movements when required.
- Supporting the team during busy rental and tour periods – flexibility is key!
- Proven motorcycle mechanical experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Can prioritise tasks, solve problems, and work without being supervised.
- A full motorcycle and car licence.
- A practical, reliable, can-do attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Pride in doing high-quality work.
- The ability to work well in a small team.
- Legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Experience with multiple motorcycle brands, adventure bikes, rental fleets, tourism, or guided motorcycle tours would be an advantage.
