CNC Machinist

1. 42 p/hr + Paid Weekly + OT Avialable!

• Monday - Friday, 40 hrs/Week + On Going Work
• Based in East Auckland with a Temp to Permanent opportunity

Trade Assist has 5 vacancies available and is looking to bring on skilled CNC Machinists working with one of NZ's largest engineering companies. We have steady work, a great team environment, and long-term roles ready to go.

What's on Offer:

• $35-42 per hour + weekly pay + x1.5 OT available
• Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
• Full PPE provided
• Training and upskilling opportunities
• Full-time role with a permanent employment agreement
• Up to 55 hours per week available

About the Role

Trade Assist is seeking experienced CNC Machinists who is capable programming, setting, and operating, to join our growing team in Auckland. If you have a strong background in operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Tasks:

• Operating CNC machines to produce components to precise tolerances
• Setting up machines, selecting tools, and adjusting offsets as required
• Performing quality checks using measuring equipment
• Completing basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

About You:

• 2-3 years of CNC machining experience
• Mazak machines preferable
• Proven competency in operating CNC mills, lathes, or machining centres
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Site Safe (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliability, good communication skills, and a strong work ethic
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
