The candidate would join the multidisciplinary teams in offering assessment, formulation and brief psychological intervention to tangata whaiora in hospital who are acutely unwellAbout the Team/Service/ LocationTe Whetu Tawera is Te Toka Tumai Aucklands Acute Mental Health Unit for Adults.

It has 58 beds, which includes 12 Intensive Care Unit beds. The unit is located alongside the Auckland Domain with views of Auckland Harbour. It is unique in that it is very flexible in function with spaces and rooms able to be reconfigured and used according to patients' needs.For more information on living and working in Auckland click hereAbout youIf you are midlevel Clinical Psychologist who has an interest in mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, CBT, ACT etc Has experience working in an inpatient unit including group work and an interest in ensuring high quality, safe and equitable services we invite you to apply to join our team.You will have a Post graduate degree in Clinical Psychology (or its recognised equivalent) and registration with the NZ Psychologists Board with a Clinical Scope of practiceYou with have a Current Annual Practicing Certificate You will have experience with facilitating groups and may have Neuro-psychological / Cognitive assessment skills as well as well-formed skills in CBT and DBT.You will have a commitment to biculturalism, a commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for MāoriWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
