Carpenter – Factory Labourer

We are seeking a dedicated Factory Construction Labourer to specialize in the construction of offsite manufactured buildings. You’ll work in our factory and on various construction sites throughout New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction of building components in the factory, including painting and other general labour duties
• Assembly of building components into finished buildings
• Onsite work for piling, decking, and other general labour duties
• Overtime when required to meet deadlines
• Travel for up to 6 weeks at a time for onsite projects

About You:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction
• Experience in factory work and assembly
• Ability to read plans and shop drawings
• Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
• Willingness to undergo police vetting and drug/alcohol testing
• Skilled in various aspects of carpentry, such as formwork, framing, and finishing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• High-level communication skills
• Two contactable references

About the Role:

• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Hourly wage ranging from $26.69 - $35.00
• Permanent role, Monday to Friday, with additional shifts available on weekends
• As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to different regions for various projects, including Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Marlborough, Nelson, Northland, Otago, Southland, Taranaki, Waikato, Wellington, and the West Coast, for up to 6 weeks at a time
