Background
Daily Rise Trading Limited exports deer-related products from New Zealand to Asian markets,including velvet, antler, and by-products. We’re looking for an Exporter to join our growing velvet and antler export business.
About the role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring everything flows smoothly from New Zealand deer farms to our overseas customers. You’ll help bridge the gap between local deer farmers, logisticspartners, government agencies, and international buyers, supporting efficient and reliableexport processes.
You'll work five days (at lesat 30 hours) per week, and be paid $35-$55 per hour based on experience and skills.
Key duties of the role:- Keep an eye out for fresh opportunities in East Asian market, particularly China.
- Help shape day-to-day plans for how we run our export operation, from how we present ourproduct story to how we manage orders, stock flow, and customer relationships.
- Work with the Director to decide which velvet grades and related products we’ll offer to different markets, and help shape the terms we trade on.
- Stay in close contact with our farm suppliers, processing partners, logistics partners, and international buyers to make sure orders run smoothly from paddock to port.
- Stay up to date with the rules, paperwork, and industry standards that affect velvet movements across borders, and make sure we’re always on the right track.
- Keep track of how the business is performing - pulling together figures, costs, forecasts, andsimple reports that help guide decisions.
- Support the appointment and coordination of on-the-ground partners such as overseas representatives or distributors who help grow our presence offshore.
- Organise the movement of velvet, antler and deer by-products from New Zealand to our international customers, handling documentation, shipping bookings, timing, and qualitycheckpoints.
- Assist with product presentation - whether that is preparing specs, quality notes, or supporting sales staff with the right information about our velvet lines.
- Make sure buyers receive support after their orders land, helping maintain strong, long-term relationships in key velvet and antler markets.
- A good understanding of the deer industry, velvet production, and export markets, supported by recent hands-on experience.
- Confidence working with overseas customers and suppliers, with the ability to build steady, trust-based relationships.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or five years of relevant work experience.
- The ability to speak Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
