We are seeking Trainee Insulation Installers to help fit ceiling, underfloor and ground-moisture barrier products into residential homes, including the government’s EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes programme.- Bring your existing Trades or Engineering experience and learn on the job
- Guaranteed minimum hours of 30 hours per week
- Pay range: $20-25 per hour (minimum wage applies)
- Immediate start available
Note - You need to be able to get to Ramarama for a 7.00am start Monday to Friday reliably.
The EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes programme requires the highest standards of insulation upgrades/installation to EECA standards and guidelines. In addition to fitting new insulation, trainee installers must have a keen eye for detail, possible engineering background and be able to identify correct procedures for EECA programme standards eg.identifying, clearing & recording different types of lights, 3-in-1 units, abutting & blocking. (Manuals are provided).
Some hands-on work experience in building or engineering is required, as is proven experience of workplace Health & Safety requirements. Also required are good levels of numeracy, literacy and accuracy. The ability to work in tight underfloor and ceiling spaces with care, and physically man-handle insulation tools and materials without damaging property is essential.Respectful communication and good customer service skills are important as we are operating in peoples’ private homes. An understanding of Tagalog language and Filipino culture would be helpful as Team Leaders who will be providing on-the-job training are native Filipino.

Note – Ministry of Justice checks may also be undertaken prior to employment and pre-employment and random ongoing drug testing may be undertaken at any time.
