As part of this role, you will be required to showcase exemplary CPR skillsincluding the performance of scenario-based resuscitation demonstrations duringteaching workshops.About the ServiceThe Resuscitation Service consists of a small team providingstrategic direction for resuscitation training and practise within Canterbury.The service is responsible for training and the development, implementation andregular review of resuscitation practise including policies, procedures, equipment,and resources.The service is supported by the Department of Anaesthesiaand the CPR advisory committee.
Guidelines and practise are governed by the NewZealand Resuscitation Council.About You We are looking for an experienced health professional whohas effective communication skills to liaise with all disciplines andoccupational groups and be able to assist in leading Canterbury wide systemchanges to improve resuscitation outcomes through evidence-based practise andeducation.You will have expert resuscitation knowledge to provideadvice across all disciplines and occupational groups along with contributingto resuscitation policy formation and review.You will be confident in providing education session for ourmedical staff and holding a graduate qualification in Adult Education orClinical Teaching would be an advantage.Current practicing health professional with a registered New Zealand Practising Certificate with no restrictionsHold a current NZRC CORE Instructor certificate (or be prepared to train as a CORE Instructor)Have clinical expertise or be recognised as an expert in resuscitation practice, especially airway management.Experience with simulation desirableHave a demonstrated ability to contribute to, as well as develop, appropriate healthcare standards and quality initiatives.Proven leadership experience to health providersCommitment to ongoing development of clinical skillsEvidence of effective teaching skills and ability to support healthcare professionals at all levels of practise.Vision, innovation, and flexibility to accommodate change.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Excellent administrative and time management skillsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
