  • About the roleThese are great opportunities to further develop your administrative, finance and coordination skills in an organisation dedicated to supporting communities across Aotearoa.The Business Services Coordinator role is busy and varied and central to supporting District operations
  • no two days are the same.Reporting to the Business Services Coordinator Team Leader, you will provide a broad range of administrative and coordination services including:Finance and procurement supportHR and people-related administrative processesTravel bookings and diary coordinationVolunteer and district team supportGeneral business administration and coordination activitiesProvide administrative and coordination support during large-scale eventsSuccess in this role requires accuracy, discretion and a flexible mindset
  • someone with the ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential in this role These are secondment or fixed term opportunitiesOne role until 30 September 2026One role until 19 March 2027 (parental leave cover) While these roles are fixed term, there may be potential for extension or future opportunities within Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

  • What you'll bring to the role:You will be a highly motivated individual with a proactive and helpful approach to improving business processes across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have: Proven experience in an administration role, ideally within a medium to large organisationExperience or exposure to finance and HR administrative processesThe ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities frequently changeStrong business writing skills, including documenting processesFull competency in the MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenHave a high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills A collaborative, customer focused approach with a positive can-do attitudeThe ability to remain calm, flexible, and solutions-focused under pressureWork as an effective and collaborative team memberDiary coordination and event management experience The salary range for this role $59,674
  • $66,304 (pro-rated), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
