- About the roleJoin a high-impact strategic function at the University of Waikato and play a pivotal role in advancing research performance through AI and data-driven insight.As the AI Adoption and Business Intelligence Lead
- Research, you will act as the critical link between research strategy and digital capability.
You will champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools, develop sophisticated business intelligence solutions, and provide strategic insights that support the University's ambitious Research Plan 2026-2030.Working closely with the Director of Commercial & Business Partnerships and Information Technology Services (ITS), you will translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations, enabling informed decision-making across research leadership.
You will also drive cultural change by embedding AI and data-led practices across the Research Office.Salary will be based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position.This is a full-time role and could be based on our Hamilton or Tauranga campus.For more information on the role, please see the position description.

With strong data literacy, you can translate complex datasets into meaningful insights and compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders.You are an excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to bridge the gap between technical teams and business leaders.
