Diesel Mechanic

KFM Logistics is seeking a reliable, hands-on Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop in Huntly full time. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day mechanical maintenance and repairs of our fleet, which includes Mercedes Axor and Actros trucks as well as container side loaders, skellies and furniture trailers.
Key responsibilities- Independently manage day-to-day workshop tasks: servicing, fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Use diagnostic technology (Jaltest) for troubleshooting and repairs
- Maintain accurate job records and parts documentation
- Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and ready for service
- Coordinate with operations to prioritise jobs and manage downtime
- Heavy vehicle diesel mechanic experience (Mercedes Axor/Actros experience desirable)
- Strong diagnostic skills and confidence using Jaltest
- Able to work independently, take responsibility and prioritise tasks
- Trade qualification or equivalent experience preferred but not essential
- Full Class 4 driver’s licence minimum.’, own basic tools advantageous
- Good communicator, reliable and safety-focused
