All Trucks is looking for a workshop foreman to assist the workshop manager with; (duties include but are not limited to)
There is an opportunity for the right person to buy into the business, be mentored into the business and eventually own it out right. This would be a mutually beneficial arrangement with the current owner becoming a silent partner as the % ownership structure changes to full ownership.
- Overseeing of work shop jobs including allocation of man hours to jobs
- Assisting on jobs, advise and provide guidance to the apprentices on jobs
- Assist workshop manager covering minor jobs ie. Bulb changes, brake adjusts
- Attend work shop/ H & S / management meetings as required
- Coordination of ordering of parts for jobs
- Carry out mechanical repairs / servicing / diagnostics
- Assist in training opportunities
- Customer liaison
- Assist in guiding vehicle movements of vehicles during the day including parking / customer pick ups and ensuring vehicle security during and at the end of day.
- Quality control checks and test drives.
- Assist in the completion of job cards write ups (these are completed by the techs but sometimes need editing due to poor English or job description.
- Cover for workshop manager in his absence including answering the phone, customer liaison, precosting jobs, client bookings, opening job cards etc
- Occasional call outs or break downs as required.
- Trade certified with 5+ years experience
- Computer skills to be able to open / access jobs, vehicle history, time clock, vehicle diagnostics etc
- Excellent communication both oral and written
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
- Team player, with a positive attitude to get on well with work mates.
- Full NZ drivers licence, truck licences would be an advantage.
- RESIDE IN NZ - Living here in NZ.
- Varied work within the daily schedule
- Tool / parts account purchasing, taking advantage of our buying discounts. Monthly limits by negotiation.

Minimum hours 50 / week Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm, Saturdays 7.30am – 1pm and once fully staffed Saturdays will be on a roster system.
