Support Worker

We are looking for casual Support Workers to work alongside, coach, and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in Whanganui.
What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?
Our Support Workers assist rangatahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community.
You will:
- Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach
- Support tamariki or rangatahi to go to school or access education
- Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
- Support rangatahi/young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes
- Earn competitive pay rates between $23.97 and $29.68 per hour
- Bespoke training tailored to the needs of the rangatahi/young person
- Clinical supervision to support best practice
- Earn while you learn with free training towards NZQA Health and Wellbeing
- Employee Assistance Programme service available anytime you need health and wellbeing support
- 'Refer a friend' bonus
- A desire to support rangatahi/young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
- Previous experience working with young people/rangatahi
- An understanding of intellectual disability and autism
- Creativity, 'out of the box' thinking, and a team player
- A full NZ driver's licence
