Experienced Cook (Asian Eatery/Takeaway Food)
We are seeking interest for experienced Cook for our Asian eatery/ takeaway shop in Victoria University, Kelburn, Wellington. Someone who is familiar with Asian style quick/street food cooking.
Simple and delicious cooking, that may suit someone looking for day-time full time hours. Someone who is talented with some experience, or with lots of experience but looking at some work life balance, with NO weekends, NO public holidays, NO night shift and NO early morning start.

You will be responsible for day to day running of all aspect of cooking in the kitchen.
The ideal candidate shall be someone who is able to take ownership of the following tasks, - planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies- monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- discussing food preparation issues with Owner or Manager
- demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- preparing and cooking food
- able to use their own initiative, be proactive and hardworking,
- friendly and a great team player,
- also experienced in cabinet food preparation
- able to collaborate with others to ensure a smooth workflow.
- At least 2 year of previous relevant experience.
The successful applicant is able stay calm, and focused under pressure and high work volume.
Your hourly rate is negotiable with at least 35 hours of work per week.If you think you have what it takes and possess the qualities, we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
