The School supports graduate and postgraduate programmes in Physical and Human Geography and Environmental Management, Planning, and International Development.Our aim is to deliver globally relevant teaching and research from our unique location in Aotearoa New Zealand.The role / Te mahiTe Iho Whenua, the School of Geography seeks to appoint a skilled and versatile Professional Practice Fellow specialising in Spatial Data and Geospatial Technologies, to support and enhance the School's teaching, research, and technical infrastructure.In this position, you will play a key role in delivering practical teaching modules, managing spatial data systems, and supporting the School's use of GIS, UAVs, GNSS, and cartographic tools.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with technical expertise, teaching experience, and a passion for geographic technologies.Skills and experience / Kā pūkeka me kā wheakoTo be successful in this role, candidates should hold a tertiary qualification in geography, environmental science, geospatial science, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience working with spatial data analysis, geospatial technologies, or applied GIS- particularly in research or academic environments
