- Support the day-to-day operations of the tap room, ensuring a high standard of food and drink service
- Contribute to a positive team culture and an enjoyable customer atmosphere
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation in all service areas
Core Responsibilities
Customer Experience- Provide warm, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all guests
- Serve drinks and food with consistency, accuracy, and enthusiasm
- Handle customer queries or minor complaints professionally and escalate issues when needed
- Promote specials, events, and new products confidently
- Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with standard measures and recipes
- Set up and pack down the bar and service areas before and after shifts, including cleaning bar area and waste disposal
- Keep the bar, tables, and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
- Follow beer line cleaning and equipment care procedures when required
- Assist with stock rotation, restocking, and basic stock takes
- Check off deliveries and report discrepancies to senior staff
- Store products safely and according to food and beverage handling standards
- Work effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support new team members with informal guidance and a positive example
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, staff, and management
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process transactions
- Handle EFTPOS and cash payments, including providing correct change
- Assist with till balancing and float management as directed
- Follow all Health & Safety and Host Responsibility procedures
- Be alert to hazards and report any issues to management promptly
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and food safety practices
- Understand and comply with emergency and fire safety procedures
- A passion for craft beer and customer service
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High standard of personal presentation and hygiene
- Flexible availability for rostered shift work
- LCQ or Duty Manager’s Certificate a bonus, but not essential
- Cicerone Beer Server certification (or willingness to complete) preferred
