Customer Service Representative

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person who is committed to great customer service, has a keen interest in the agricultural sector and is looking to build a career in this exciting industry.
PGG Wrightson is one of New Zealand's leading nationwide providers of products and services to the rural sector. We are helping grow the country through our knowledge, service and expertise. This role is part-time, working Saturday three hours per week (every Saturday).
This is based in the Leeston Rural Supplies store.
About the role
You'll be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the store such as assisting customers, sales processing and background administration processes.
You'll have a keen interest in the local agricultural sector, and your ability to relate well to both colleagues and clients will set you apart.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day administration processes and compliance
- Provide sound advice to a variety of customers based on their needs
- Process sales and product requests with efficiency
- Order, unpack and display merchandise according to company guidelines
- Undertake forklift and delivery duties from time to time.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in the New Zealand rural sector is preferred but not essential
- A full, current and clean New Zealand driver's licence
- A team player who can roll up their sleeves and contribute to outstanding results
- Good physical fitness as regular heavy lifting is required
- Previous retail and/or sales experience is an advantage but not essential
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook is essential.
