Assistant Manager (2IC) - Tasmania!
Excellent step-up opportunity for a Junior 2IC or experienced Farm Assistant
- Autumn calving almost complete — ideal timing to settle smoothly into the role
- Relocation support available
Our Client
Our client is a well-established, family-owned agricultural business with over 20 years of successful dairy and beef farming operations across Australia and Tasmania. Known for their strong team culture, modern farming practices, and focus on herd health and efficiency, they are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager / 2IC to join one of their well-run 750-cow dairy units in North West Tasmania.
The Opportunity
The farm milks 750 cross-bred cows through a modern 60-stand rotary shed and operates a predominantly pasture-based system with grain fed in the dairy. The property is well maintained, easy rolling, and offers an enjoyable working environment with excellent infrastructure and systems already in place.
The herd calves in Autumn, with calving for this season now largely complete, making this an ideal opportunity for someone to settle into the role outside of the busiest period. This role would suit either a capable Junior 2IC looking to further develop their leadership skills or an experienced Farm Assistant ready to step into their first 2IC role.
The successful candidate will be well supported by an experienced Farm Manager with 10+ years in the industry, along with ongoing mentorship from the Operations Manager, providing excellent long-term career development opportunities.
