Blueskin Nurseries is a family-owned plant nursery based in the Waitati, Otago. We are growing a diverse range of ornamental trees & shrubs both native and exotic, for the landscape and retail industry throughout the South Island.We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in a leadership position. We are looking for someone to co-ordinate Production in our growing nursery.
The chosen candidate will have passion for horticulture, with a minimum of 3 years’ horticultural experience.
The role will be working alongside dispatch and propagation managers, to co-ordinate the smooth running of the nursery operation.
To be considered for the role you will need the following:- Competence in all aspects of horticulture production
- An ability to work alongside and co-ordinate people from various cultures and communicate in a positive manner.
- A strong desire to grow top quality crops
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Be physically fit
- An ability to plan and prioritise workload, make decisions and problem solve
- A positive “can-do” attitude and enthusiastic team player
- Tertiary level education preferred but not essential
- A proven reliability and work record- please include referees in application.
- A valid New Zealand driver’s license
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
