We’re on the hunt for someone who can take ownership of their work, think on their feet, and deliver high-quality results. If you're confident with diagnostics, general maintenance, and heavy machinery repairs — this could be the perfect role for you.
Location: Macraes, Otago (candidates can be based in Dunedin or Oamaru; free transport to site provided)Start date: Negotiable
Pay rate: $50–54 per hour (paid weekly)
Your role will involve:
- General repairs and maintenance on all mining, ancillary, and plant
- Daily servicing of mining equipment
- Working on excavators, trucks, drill rigs, graders, and dozers
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Performing repairs to a high standard
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Automotive Heavy Engineering certificate
- Full NZ driver’s licence (manual capable)
- Clean MOJ record
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Two recent and contactable references
- Mining experience preferred but not essential
- 7 on / 7 off day/night shift roster for excellent work-life balance
- Work on some of the largest gear in the country
