Construction Technical Coordinator
About the role
We're looking for a motivated and technically minded Construction Technical Support Coordinator to join our team at Formance. Working closely with our General Manager of Product & Development, you'll be learning the Formance SIP system from the ground up — becoming the go-to technical support person for our network of architects, designers, engineers, and builders across New Zealand.
This is a junior role with real growth potential, where you'll see your knowledge applied to real buildings and real projects every day.
What you'll be doing- Responding to technical construction queries from architects, designers, engineers, and builders
- Coordinating structural engineering documentation (SED) for live projects
- Reviewing plans and supporting the technical sign-off process
- Applying the Formance system practically to real buildings and projects
- Supporting compliance and consent documentation
- Working alongside our GM of Product & Development to build your technical product knowledge over time
- Technically minded with an eye for detail — you think in systems and structures
- A background in drafting, construction, architecture, or engineering - essential
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Comfortable communicating with construction professionals
- Practically minded — you get satisfaction from seeing knowledge applied to real outcomes
- Eager to learn — no prior SIP experience needed, we'll train you
