Spray Painter & Panel Beater

We are a team of 12, with a varied mix of work, predominantly insurance work. We are a Gold Class I-Car Collision Repair Business and Prequal accredited shop. Our workshop is well-lit and fully equipped - located in Kapiti, which is a 45 minute drive from Wellington.

Essential Skills and Experience

We are looking for an experienced full-time automotive spray painter and panel beater to join our tight-knit team. As a spraypainter you will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are painted to high standard and as a panel beater you will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are repaired to the highest quality standard, within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the approved repair specifications.

For the Spray Painter position we are looking for -
  • Knowledge of SPIES HECKER System is a bonus (water based paint)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised
  • Knowledge of Masking, Polishing, Prepping and Painting to high standard.
  • Has a current drivers license and NZ work permit.
  • Keeping work area clean and safe as per H&S requirements.
For a Panel Beater position we are looking for -
  • Trade qualification or equivalent certification as well as I-CAR MIG welding qualification. Min 3 Years experience.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Skills in all repair aspects, from rust repairs to structural repairs.
  • Plastic welding experience.
  • Keeping work area clean and safe as per H&S requirements.
  • Current driver’s license & NZ work permit.
