OSCAR Casual Program Assistant - Upper Hutt

Important Note when applying:

  • This is a casual/reliever role to provide staff cover. Successful candidates needs to have reliable transport to work at our sKids Upper Crescent site.
About the Role:
  • Supervise and assist children in programme activities.
  • Ensure that the working environment is kept clean, tidy, hygienic and safe for all children, staff, parents and visitors to the programme at all times.
  • Assist the Programme Manager as required to run the daily format as scheduled as per duties outlined on the task list.
  • Report back to the Programme Manager with any concerns regarding a child or behaviour issues etc.

Hours of work

Please note that this is a casual employment role between Monday - Friday. If successful, you will only be rostered to work based on "as required" basis. There's no minimum/ maximum/ guarenteed hours for this role.
  • Before school starts from 7am - 8.30am (if required)
  • After school starts from 2.30pm.

Location of work: Oxford Crescent, Upper Hutt

Who are we?
sKids was founded in 1996 when two parents created a structured out of school care service for primary aged children. Now we’re New Zealand’s favourite kid’s hangout, welcoming over 3800 tamariki each day at over 170 school sites. Working at sKids brings out the inner child in all of us!

We’re looking for someone who has, * Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
  • Reliable transport or ideally a vehicle to work at the site mentioned above.
  • Have keen interest to work in similar industries
  • have previous experience working with children, it can be from babysitting or any volunteered experience.
