Kirimana Consultants is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our teams across a variety of exciting projects in Tasman.

We are ready to employ several Carpenters to work alongside our experienced tradesmen. These roles require reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious individuals. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include:

  • Install forms, foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs
  • Fit and install window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, drywall, interior and exterior trim
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, power tools, and other machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine project layout, dimensions, and materials required
  • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using appropriate tools and materials
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace as needed
  • Communicate progress, delays, or problems to the Leading Hand or Supervisor

We expect you to take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, and complete tasks to a high standard within required timeframes. You'll be expected to communicate clearly with your supervisor, take responsibility for your duties, and work well as part of a team.

Minimum Experience Required:

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Carpenter, carrying out typical new construction, repair, or maintenance duties, or hold a trade qualification or higher. You must be able to provide references to verify this experience.

Pay & Conditions:

  • Hourly rate: $27 - $35 (waged)
  • Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 55 hours depending on project requirements
  • Work days: Monday to Saturday
  • Locations: Roles available across Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Manawatu/Horowhenua, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Tasman and Marlborough.

For those willing to travel between regions, accommodation and other allowances will be provided.
