About the RoleYou will be working under the direction and supervision of a Registered nurse assisting with aids to daily living. Providing a clean, safe, and tidy environment for patients and staff as well as maintaining stock levels and distributing supplies, linen and equipment throughout the ward as required.
You will be expected to be available to work rotating rostered shifts including night shifts. Key responsibilities:Maintaining a safe environment upholding infection control standards and ensuring patient areas are clean, organised, and well-equipped.Documentation making sure to accurately record care provided and report any changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse on the ward.
Click here to view the position description. About the Team/ServiceThe Acute Surgical Assessment Unit, or M18 as we are known by, is a unique short stay surgical ward that is newly refurbished. It is a modern, light-filled ward with a friendly team, and with access to all the latest equipment.
Not only do we have 16 inpatient acute surgical beds, we also have a 10 bedded surgical assessment unit. Much like the Emergency Department, the assessment unit is an acute unit where we assess patients for emergency surgical admission.
