Ko ta matou mahi: Our Role
We are looking for Full-time Night Security Guards in Christchurch across a variety of sites, including accommodation and commercial premises.- Hours are 2100 – 0200
- 14-day rotating roster will work every other weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises and maintain security presence across designated areas
- Controlling access to restricted areas
- Provide a strong presence of security
- Enforce the rules of the site
- Physical response to security incidents
- Report incidents and ensure all health and safety protocols are met and followed
- Current Certificate of Approval (COA)
- Work rights to work in New Zealand
- Previous experience in similar security roles
- Physical presence with a medium/high standard of fitness
- Must have excellent de-escalation skills and be able to communicate effectively with people
- Able to work independently and complete nightly reports
- High level of written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to pass additional Police Vetting requirements (site dependent)
- Flexibility to work across different sites will be an advantage
