JWI Earthmoving Ltd is a leading civil construction and earthmoving company, delivering high quality projects across the Waikato and beyond. We specialise in earthworks, concrete construction, and complex civil works, with a reputation for excellent planning, communication, and execution.

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a part-time or contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in quoting, estimating, and back costing a range of projects, ensuring accurate cost control and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely quotes, tenders, and estimates for civil and earthmoving projects.

Undertake back costing and project cost analysis to measure performance and identify efficiencies.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare comprehensive cost plans.

Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and technical information.

Assist with cost reporting and provide recommendations for cost savings and risk management.

About You:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the civil construction sector.

Strong skills in estimating, tender preparation, and cost analysis.

Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, estimating software).

Excellent attention to detail, with strong numerical and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently.
