Instrumentation & Automation Technician — Dairy Laboratory
Location: HamiltonSalary: $100,000–$110,000- Annual salary

We’re recruiting an experienced Instrumentation & Automation Technician to support a high‑tech dairy laboratory environment. This role is hands‑on, varied, and central to keeping a diverse range of analytical instruments and custom automation systems running reliably across two sites.
What you’ll be doing- Servicing and repairing analytical instruments, automation systems, robotics & fluid-handling equipment
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & software faults
- Managing maintenance records, calibration logs & compliance documentation
- Supporting PLC diagnostics and vendor coordination
- Travelling between Hamilton-based sites as required
- Proven experience maintaining scientific/industrial instrumentation at component level
- Strong diagnostic capability across multidisciplinary systems
- Ability to read technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals)
- Excellent documentation habits & familiarity with IANZ/ISO environments
- Relevant trade certificate/diploma/degree OR equivalent hands-on experience
- $100–110k salary
- Permanent OR contract options available
