Lovett Family Farms is seeking an Agricultural Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their company in Ashburton, NZ.The primary purpose of this position is maintaining farm machinery.
Reporting directly to the Directors / Workshop Hands on Manager some of your responsibilities include:- Maintenance of farm machinery to a high standard.
- Self-management to ensure completion of prioritized tasks.
- Planning of the farms upcoming machinery needs to ensure a smooth operation through different stages of the yearly cycle.
- Fabrication of different machinery and parts.
- Occasional work outside normal hours to deal with break downs and busy periods.
Additionally, a welding certificate would be beneficial for this position. Experience of management will also be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be level-headed and reliable whilst having the ability to adapt to changing circumstances whilst working autonomously. They will also have a strong business mind and understanding of cost management.
The ideal applicant will have a minimum 3 years relevant experience in the industry, be reliable and able to work well within a team.
Other requirements- Must hold a current driver‘s license, restricted minimum
- Be willing to undergo a drug test.
- Be willing to undergo a security check.
- Be physically fit and able to carry out tasks required of role.
