We have exciting new roles for Crew Leads within our Water (5), Drainage (3), CCTV (1) and Utilities (1) teams

- Based at Regional Wellington Depots - Position dependent - Rongotai, Porirua, Pomare and Silverstream
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
The opportunity
The purpose of these roles is to maintain the day-to-day operations of networks, ensure continual best practice quality and set service delivery standards while managing all crews. The roles maintain a hands-on focus at least 80% of the time, leading, assisting, coaching, and developing our service crews and participating in the delivery teams on-call roster.The Crew Leads are also responsible for delivering more complex maintenance, reactive and upgrade works.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring the following:
- Actively working towards or hold a New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline Construction and Maintenance) (Level 4) with strands in Drinking Water or Stormwater/Wastewater or 10-15 years of water industry experience. - Full NZ class 1 and 2 licence
- Experience in operations of water systems
- Proven supervisory skills and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and understand plans
- Ability to lead and mentor staff
- Knowledge and commitment to health and safety practices
- Knowledge of plant and equipment capabilities
- Planning, time management, organisational and computer skills including CMMS, GIS to manage work
