PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – Part-time - Christchurch
Cashmere Pharmacy is seeking a full-time or part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our great team. Our modern medical centre Pharmacy offers the full range of services to patients and supports a strong local community.
The role would suit a pro-active team player proficient in core day-to-day dispensary work - prescription entering, varied dispensing and some compliance/blister packing support, stock control and customer assistance. No weekends, public holidays or late nights.
Cashmere Pharmacy has a strong mix of dispensary and pharmacy services work, along with core health and beauty retail. We encourage and offer all new and current Pharmacy services, including vaccinations and have areas you can grow as a technician.
Our team is dedicated to delivering the best customer experience. Our supportive team of 2 Pharmacists and 3 to 4 Technicians are highly motivated in growing and moving our Pharmacy industry forward. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to an experienced level 5 tech or someone just starting out and nearing complete of Level 4. A place to learn, a place to grow - it would provide career progression and experience in a supportive environment.The position would suit a Technician who desires creating and working in a smooth-running dispensary, alongside a great team. You would need to be proficient in maintaining great patient relationships and strive to provide excellent professional and friendly advice - building relationships.
Effective communication skills, motivation, and initiative will be essential.

Skills we are looking for include:
- Ideally a NZ qualified technician - Level 5 or 6 technician
- For the right person, we would consider a Level 4 trainee technician nearing course completion, with some pharmacy/health/science background and of solid character with history of strong work ethic.
- Experience in a NZ pharmacy environment. Competent in Toniq Software.
- Be able and competent to practice as part of a team.
- Understand the legislation and funding requirements of the dispensary.
- Strive to meet and greet your customers to create an engaging experience.
- Motivated and dedicated to continual improvement of self and the business.
- A highly motivated, enthusiastic, quick learning people person with dispensary and retail confidence.
