Our youth health nurses provide high-quality, effective, and safe care to adolescents in a school-based setting.About the roleIn this roaming nurse role you will work alongside school nurses to deliver a high quality, effective and safe immunisation service, to adolescents enrolled in the Enhanced School Based Health Services schools.
Were currently recruiting for 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week), in a role shared with 1.2FTE existing nurse vaccinators. The programme operates Monday to Friday, with a base at Greenlane Clinical Centre.About youYoure youth-focused, approachable, and confident working independently.
You bring strong clinical assessment skills, a can-do attitude, and excellent communication abilities. You will be innovative and independent, and able to engage with a range of stakeholders such as School Based Health Service nurses, General Practitioners, school management, Primary Health Organisations and the Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR) team, to provide best practice clinical services across the Programme.To be considered, you must:Be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current Practising CertificateHave an Authorised Vaccinator CertificationHave had experience in youth health or primary careBe passionate about youth health and committed to working at the top of your scopeIdeally, youll hold a postgraduate qualification (preferably in Youth Health Nursing), or be willing to undertake further study.What we offerThis is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills and enthusiasm to positively influence youth health outcomes across our district.If this sounds like the right fit for you, and you meet the role requirements, wed love to hear from youapply online today.
