Beauty Therapist cum Hairdresser

Job description:

• Carry all aspects of beauty therapy work includes all types of waxing, threading, tanning, facials, eye care and any other beauty treatment which is required to service a customer.
• Carry out treatments in relaxed, friendly and clean environment.
• Ensure relevant infection prevention and control procedures are always followed.
• Ensure aftercare is discussed after every treatment.
• Ensures that entire team conducts each segment of a Client visit courteously, efficiently, and in accordance with the established client retention procedures.
• Assists with the development of weekly and monthly store promotions and events to build the store business.
• Attend and constructively contribute to meetings relevant to your role
• Maintains an adequate stock of store inventory and ensures inventory control of supplies by placing a monthly store order
• Promote and demonstrate products for retail Book customer’s appointments with efficient time allocated for each appointment.
• Operate cash register to receive payments from customers.
• Attempt to resolve complaints/ customer feedback initially within the practice
• Ensure the Salon is kept to high standards.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures
• Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs.
• Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers' instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors.
• Analyze customers' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or suggest hairstyles.
• Using curlers, rollers, hot irons, and curling irons
• Styling and dressing hairpieces, extensions, and wigs
• Schedule client appointments.
• Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush
• Applying chemical setting, straightening, or curling solutions
• Update and maintain customer information records of services provided.
• Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions.
• Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons.
• Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics.

Note: Any other related task may be allocated from time to time as assigned by the employer/owner in writing.

No qualification or work experience required, we will provide all the necessary training. It is a Full-time role working minimum 30 hours per week, we need people who are committed and turn up to work on time unless they have a reasonable excuse.

We do not believe that our standards are too high or too unrealistic.
