Remuneration as per PSA AHST SECA Technical/Non-Degree Designated scale up to step 3 ($94,378 per annum)Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThe Operational Team Leader Technician is a frontline leadership role, primarily based in the Inpatient Dispensary, where you'll lead by example while remaining hands-on in service deliveryAs the Operational Team Lead – Pharmacy Technician, you will:Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of the Inpatient Pharmacy Technician teamEnsure safe, efficient delivery of services across rosters (including weekends, public holidays, and offsite services)Ensure compliance with professional pharmacy standards and legislative requirementsCoach and mentor technicians, lead training and credentialing processes, and contribute to professional development across the teamCoordinate and contribute to internal audits, SOP development, incident investigations, and continuous improvement projectsActively participate in operational pharmacy rosters including weekends and public holidays About the Team/Service/ LocationMiddlemore Hospital is a large and progressive tertiary hospital located in South Auckland and is unique in terms of the diverse, high-needs population we serve.

You will also have:NZQA Level 6 National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technicians)At least 4 years hospital-based operational pharmacy experience, including leadership or mentoring rolesStrong understanding of New Zealand’s Pharmacy Services StandardProven experience in mentoring, coaching, and training pharmacy techniciansExcellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to quality, teamwork and professionalismHighly developed organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and use initiative to solve problems Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
