Sushil's Musclechef Meals Limited trading as Sushil’s Musclechef Kitchen & Cafe in Aotea is seeking 1x permanent manager to replace their outgoing manager. We run a six day a week operation and also open for dinner service on Thursday - Saturday each week.

We are currently seeking one permanent Manager to join our busy team. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours a week. The successful candidate must be available to work weekends and public holidays. Remuneration ranges from $27- $32 per hour, depending on experience.

The successful candidate must have three years of relevant experience supervising a hospitality or similar establishment AND their Licence Controller Qualification.

The key responsibilities of the Manager are:

  • Managing rosters and staffing operations to ensure optimum delivery of service.
  • Responsible for compliance with alcohol sales.
  • Managing stock levels and ensuring they are maintained to prevent running out of items in our six-day operations.
  • Responsible for purchasing and vetting of orders, delivers and stock levels.
  • Setting specials, organising and promoting events (including birthdays, weekly events etc) to increase customers.
  • Coordinating with the kitchen around menus, specials and pricing.
  • Continually researching competitors and setting or adjusting prices where necessary.
  • Develops coordinated working relationships with existing and new suppliers and negotiates best price deals for the business.
  • Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to capitalize on any potential opportunities.
  • Manage all business documentation (such as rosters, revenue reconciliation).
  • Monitor trends/events and implement measures based on events, weather, historical sales, location and local marketing.
  • Provide input into maximising profitability and ensuring efficiency of staff and resources.
  • Ensure budgets are on track based on historical data, productivity and labour ratios.
  • Ensure the training of staff, be involved in selection and interview, hiring and supervision of staff to ensure our standards are met.
  • “Customer feedback is key to success”. Deals with customer feedback and ensures that complaints are handled and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the establishment meets the health regulations and is clean to the satisfaction of customers.
  • Takes reservations for dining in, greets customers and assists in taking orders
