About the Role

As a Recovery Support Worker, youll work alongside tangata whaiora in a residential setting to support their journey of recovery from addiction. Youll provide practical support, encouragement, and supervision to ensure a safe, non-judgemental, and empowering environment.

Your role will involve implementing individual recovery plans, facilitating therapeutic activities, and contributing to a culture of safety, equity, and wellbeing.

Springhill Residential Recovery Centre in Napier is part of Te Whatu Ora - Te Matau a Maui Hawkes Bay.

Our team is passionate about supporting tangata whaiora and their whanau through evidence-based, person-centred addiction recovery services in a safe and inclusive environment.

About you

As a Recovery Support Worker, you will bring:

  • A National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or be working towards it.
  • Experience in addiction and/or mental health, ideally in a residential or community setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A full, clean NZ drivers licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally safe practice.
