Truck Driver

The candidate will be required to travel within the Canterbury and nearby regions as per the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 2 truck, including manual transmission vehicles, in accordance with road safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete deliveries accurately, on time, and without damage to goods.
• Load and unload parcels and goods safely, including items weighing up to 25 kg.
• Carry out regular vehicle safety and quality checks to ensure the truck is roadworthy and safe to operate.
• Ensure the vehicle has a current Certificate of Fitness and meets all compliance requirements.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle, both inside and out.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately, including logbooks and proof of delivery documents.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Work cooperatively with management and team members to ensure smooth transport operations.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $27 to $32 per hour.

• Relevant driving experience is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission truck.
• Valid Truck Driver’s license (Class-2) or equivalent overseas Driver’s License.
• Must be medically fit and capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Must have no criminal convictions.
• Must be willing to undertake drug testing, including random drug tests if required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe and efficient delivery practices.
